Job Summary: HyperSpectral Corp is seeking a skilled Chemometrician to contribute to our cutting-edge spectral data analysis initiatives. This position calls for a professional with a robust background in chemometrics and a keen interest in applying statistical methods to chemical data. The role involves developing and enhancing our spectral data models, contributing to our overall mission of transforming spectral analysis through AI.

Responsibilities

  • Model Development and Optimization: Develop chemometric models to analyze spectral data, employing advanced statistical and mathematical techniques. Optimize and validate models for accuracy and efficiency in various applications within food safety, environmental testing, and more.
  • Collaborative Research and Innovation: Collaborate with AI and data science teams to innovate and improve chemometric methods. Contribute to interdisciplinary projects, integrating chemometrics with AI to enhance data interpretation and decision-making.
  • Data Interpretation and Analysis: Perform deep analysis of complex datasets to identify patterns, correlations, and trends. Translate analytical findings into actionable strategies and data-driven decisions.
  • Knowledge Sharing and Thought Leadership: Share expertise and findings with internal teams to drive the adoption of chemometric techniques. Publish research, present findings, and participate in conferences to establish HyperSpectral as a thought leader in chemometrics.

Education and Experience

  • Master’s or Ph.D. in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, or a related field with a focus on chemometrics.
  • Strong theoretical and practical knowledge of chemometric techniques in spectral data analysis.
  • Proficiency in programming languages and statistical tools commonly used in chemometrics (e.g., MATLAB, R, Python).
  • Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex chemical data.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities to work effectively in a fast-paced, interdisciplinary environment.
  • Relevant industry experience is highly desirable.

Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to maintain a stationary position for prolonged periods, whether sitting or standing, as necessary for executive and computing tasks.
