About the role

We created this role to bring together the commercial and technical sides of business: helping people and AI's to work harmoniously together. The role is to manage the crossing point between our clients, our Data Science team, our AIs and our Customer Success team.

We are looking for someone, who has an analytics background with some programming skills, coupled with a keen interest in working on real business problems and driving clients' commercial success. Key to this role is promoting mutual understanding and working effectively with teams that have different styles and frames of reference.

Responsibilities - what you will do:

  • Working with complex client data, generate reports on commercial metrics, sales /marketing activity and performance
  • Being responsible for the quality of all data deliverables
  • Coordinate proactively with customer stakeholders to get access to the systems and data you will need
  • Developing an understanding of a customer’s underlying needs and come up with commercial solutions by working with data
  • Organising and executing regular client data exchanges
  • Supporting Customer Success Managers with ad hoc insight and data requests by the client
  • Creating return on investment analyses and presentations with the Commercial team
  • Developing relationships with client stakeholders and an understanding of what metrics matter to them and why
  • Working with our software engineering team to create automated client reporting
  • Loading client data into our system and produce reports on data cleanliness and quality

Requirements

Key skills we are looking for:

  • Empathy and ability to manage stakeholders with tact
  • Business Acumen - ability to understand business problem context and use relevant data to measure business performance
  • Able to communicate insights from data to a non-technical audience
  • Understanding of client requirements from a data/technical perspective
  • Able to understand the technical requirements of the data science team
  • Time-management and ability to prioritise effectively
  • Project management skills would be an advantage

Experience and background

  • Career changers welcome!
  • At least four years work experience of which at least two years work experience as part of an analysis team in an insights/analytics function
  • Advanced Python skills for data analytics, especially Pandas and Numpy libraries
  • Advanced Excel skills for ad hoc analysis
  • Experience in data visualisation, in particular Google Data Studio: being able to design and maintain dashboards
  • Working knowledge of basic statistics
  • Experience with large messy data sets, producing custom reports and insights to a brief
  • Experience in working with both commercial and technical stakeholders
