About the team:

The Robinhood Crypto Compliance team is a small but mighty team responsible for the management and oversight of its regulatory compliance program, which is administered by its internal partners. We are a geographically distributed team of crypto compliance professionals who enjoy cross-functional collaboration to solve complex issues. We are in the early stages of building a world-class compliance program for our rapidly growing crypto business. You will perform data analytics to uncover key insights and construct detailed dashboards to increase risk awareness, satisfy regulatory and audit data requests, and inform decision-making processes.

What you’ll do day-to-day:

• Propose, develop and maintain data dashboards which reflect everything from high-level program KPIs (i.e. alert generation to SAR filing ratio) to individual analyst performance (i.e. cases actioned by day per Analyst)
• Propose, develop and maintain new unusual activity transaction monitoring rules
• Develop a testing framework to assess the effectiveness of on chain and off chain transaction monitoring rules
• Support strategic initiatives through the use of data analytics to improve awareness of risk exposures to crypto operations
• Develop automated data solutions, ad-hoc reports or data extracts to support compliance operations and satisfy regulatory requests
• Develop easily digestible dashboards of management information via data visualization tools such as Looker

About you:

• 3+ years of qualifying experience in a professional data analysis capacity, including one year of experience in blockchain or financial technology industries
• A deep understanding of blockchain technology and how it fits within Robinhood
• Comfortable working with large, imperfect data sets
• Proficient in data mining, data visualizations, and familiarity to programming, including exposure to SQL, Python, and/or R
• Passion for performing data deep dives and using statistical techniques to uncover meaning insights; high degree of natural curiosity
• Self-starter, resourceful and adaptive in fast-paced environments; who is comfortable with ambiguity and possess excellent judgment and communication skills

Bonus points:

• Experience working with Actimize
• Experience working with Chainalysis (or other similar blockchain analytics tool)
• Have hands-on experience with crypto or DeFi
