Engineering Manager, Cloud Databases

Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, similar technical field of study, or equivalent practical experience.
  
• 15 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages (e.g., Go, Python, C, C++).
  
• 8 years of experience in a technical leadership role; overseeing projects, with 5 years of experience in a people management, supervision/team leadership role.
  
• Experience with product delivery from ideation to customer onboarding.
• Experience in building Distributed systems and Database services.
  

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience with stakeholder management across different GCP teams, data-centers, and Customer engineering teams.
• Experience building Cloud software-as-a-service.
  
• Experience operating customer-facing services.

Responsibilities

• Own and deliver engineering roadmap for a Cloud Database product.
  
• Build and develop a team, as well as a positive team culture.
  
• Communicate with stakeholders across different teams (e.g., Networking, external partners, etc.).
  
• Provide leadership on technical aspects (e.g., development, technical requirements, design, implementation, etc.).
  
• Work with partners, customers, and stakeholders to support and provide leadership.
