You will be an integral part of the Manufacturing Analytics Team within the Global Data, Insight, and Analytics organization. This role will focus on identifying quantifiable solutions to problems for our business partners in Manufacturing. You will work with large data, select appropriate techniques to optimize results, and conduct comprehensive analyses using cutting-edge technologies to provide solutions. 

Manufacturing Analytics delivers insights, analytic products and services that are integrated into business process and enable: higher manufacturing quality, reduction in manufacturing costs, improve launch quality and manufacturing delivery, optimized plant maintenance, and right sizing of vehicle complexity.

Seeking knowledge in data mining and statistical modeling. Important to possess the ability to translate a business problem into an analytical problem, identify the relevant data sets needed for addressing the analytical problem, recommend, implement, and validate the best suited analytical algorithm(s), and generate/deliver insights to stakeholders. Expect expected to work in project teams and interact with business partners on a regular basis. ​  

  • Develop data and analytics applications for Manufacturing to assist in achieving quality, throughput and maintenance targets. 
  • Interact with manufacturing personnel to identify data sources and other process details. 
  • Perform data exploration to formulate hypotheses and develop models to provide actionable insights to manufacturing personnel. 
  • Collaborate with Data Engineers and Software Engineers to design and develop applications consistent with standard development methods and milestones. 
  • Support the deployment of applications within the manufacturing process through model verification and training of end users. 
  • Support deployed applications by resolving issues arising during use and enhancing applications based on user feedback.
  • Bachelor’s or foreign equivalent degree in statistics, computer science, applied mathematics, engineering or a related field. 
  • 2 years’ experience in application of Machine Learning models such as Regression and Decision Trees to provide insights.
  • 1 year of experience developing dashboards using commercial products such as Power BI, Tableau, QlikSense                  
  • Proficiency in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services relevant to machine learning and AI, such as AI Platform, BigQuery, Dataflow, and Tensorflow.
  • Familiarity with cloud-based data storage and processing technologies for handling large datasets efficiently.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python & SQL for data manipulation, analysis, and model development
  • Understanding of containerization technologies like Kubernetes and Docker for packaging machine learning models and deploying them in production.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s or foreign equivalent degree in analytics, data science, or statistics
