Job Description

The Senior MDM Data Engineer serves as a key resource withing Global Data Engineering Organization in defining & designing Chubb's Global Master Data Management solutions to support Operational and Analytical Data needs.  We are looking for highly skilled technologists who are passionate about Master data and who enjoy building data management solutions from the ground up and/ or migrate from existing MDM platforms.

The Ideal candidate should be proficient at solving business data problems utilizing industry leading data engineering tools on varying technology platforms. Also be equally comfortable working with Business & IT partners to understand the requirements for designing and developing robust solutions that meet the highest standards. Must have experience with MDM solutions, ETL/ELT technologies, Azure platform, Data Architecture and API framework. Apply experience & expertise in MDM technology to shape and enhance our data infrastructure and improve decision-making across the organization.

Responsibilities

• Conceptualize, support, and drive the MDM data architecture for multiple large-scale projects as well as recommend solutions to improve processes. 
• Liaising with Product Owners, Technology Partners, and Architects to ensure consistency and standardization across data platforms while designing scalable solutions.
• Own, create and maintain technical architecture documentation related to MDM solution. 
• Build SaaS MDM POC, evaluate emerging technologies, frameworks, and methodologies to enhance MDM capabilities and efficiency & define design standards for the delivery squads.
• Deep dive on technical solutioning or troubleshooting with the Data Delivery Tech Leads and prod support Leads as required.
• Design and develop MDM solutions using Informatica MDM & Azure platform.
• Perform core MDM functionalities such as Match/Merge, Survivorship, Hierarchy Management and External Match
• Contribute to Data Architecture, Data Mapping & Data Management implementations.
• Work in an Agile development environment and utilize DevOps, CI/CD (Jenkins, Jira, Terraform, Ansible etc.) processes.
• Adapt Data Governance and compliance guidelines.
• Exert technical influence over the core Data Delivery teams, increasing their productivity and effectiveness by sharing knowledge and experience.
• Must love coding – prepare to spend more than 75% of the time on hands-on development with groundbreaking data technologies. 
• Be the point of reference for solving a challenging Master Data problem.

 

 

Qualifications/Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science/engineering/mathematics or related educational background. Master's degree is a plus.
• At least 6+ years of data engineering experience including data management, analysis, design and integration/ETL. 
• Prior experience of Insurance domain a huge plus
• Strong knowledge of MDM technology, SQL and advanced programming languages such as Python/Java
• Hands-on experience with MDM tools and Cloud services.
• Proficiency in Azure Cloud services & Data Migration
• Experience with Informatica suite of product such as IDMC, CDQ, CDI, MDM and related utilities 
• Knowledge of Real Time and Batch Data integration with MDM is a plus. 
• Experience with Agile methodologies and product-management skills
• Experience in Data modelling & query performance optimization
• Experience with API/Web services for Data delivery preferred. 
• Excellent working knowledge of relational databases & data integration methodologies.
• Knowledge of Snowflake and Cosmos/Mongo DB will be considered a plus.
• Familiarity with data governance frameworks and practices.
• Experience in working with large-scale enterprise data environments.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
