JOB TITLE: Sponsorship Communications and Data Quality Coordinator

TEAM/PROGRAMME: Sponsorship

GRADE: 3

LOCATION: Maradi -Niger

CONTRACT : 12 Months

Level 3 - The responsibilities of the post may require the post holder to have regular contact with or access to children or young people

 

ROLE PURPOSE:

The Communications and Data Quality Coordinator is a key member of the Niger Sponsorship Operations Team. She/he is responsible for the overall quality, authenticity and timeliness of all sponsor-to-child communications/data including routine and standard communications/data, She/he works with appropriate sections and units within Save the Children to make sure Agency policies and procedures governing child data are consistently adhered to. Specific duties include:

SCOPE OF ROLE:

Supervisor: Head of Sponsorship

KEY AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY:

Ensure that child information/data is complete, accurate and up-to-date

Monitor the quality, authenticity and timeliness of communications/data including photos, drawings, letters, packages, etc.

Review both sponsor correspondence and child response for appropriateness of content and make sure that the child's hand and voice are evident in the child's letter or drawing

Conducting regular spot checks both at field and central Office levels to confirm the direct involvement of the child in letter writing and drawing for the sponsor

Ensure that the child is approached and encouraged to write or draw in a manner that is child friendly, and compliant with the Child Safety policy

Participate and represent Niger in Save the Children's regular child data sharing and collaboration forums

Respond to all sponsor queries as they relate to quality and genuiness of chlld data and information

Handle child death repottings as required by Save the Children's policies and procedures

Design and implement initiatives that strengthen existing quality control systems and promote child data authenticity

Safeguard child and sponsor privacy at all times by ensuring correspondence does not contain last names or contact information

Serve as the point person for the roll-out of new Agency policies and guidelines in regard to child data and communications, and monitor compliance and adherence to all related policies and procedures

  • Represent and cultivate the perspective of the sponsor within the NIGER Country Office programs

Coordinate the Collection of standard communications (holiday mailing, Annual Status Report, etc.) focusing on reviewing guidelines, distributing roles, processing raw data and drafting communications, etc.

Participate in all key Sponsorship acü','Kes, Vnc%uding but not limited to, annual planning and reporting, selfassessment and reviews, Annual Family Update, Mid-year Eligibility Check and case history collection Coordinate the revision of both routine and standard Communications templates

  • Train/orient staff on communication/data quality tools and mechanisms

Perform any other duties that may be assigned by the immediate supervisor

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Master’s degree preferred in socila sciences, English, Communication or documentation ; a bachelor’s degree with relevant experience is acceptable.
  • At least three years’ experience working in an international Sponsorship organization.
  • Experience working strong computer knowledge and good english and french skills ( writing and speaking )
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Readiness to take regular field trips
