Regulatory Data Analyst (Part-time)

Location: Leeuwarden, the Netherlands

Reports to: Manager of Regulatory Affairs

Role Description 

You will be joining the Regulatory Research team at Datamaran to support critical functions, including assisting with regulatory research, analysing regulations with the help of artificial intelligence (AI), performing data entry, and generally supporting ongoing maintenance and enhancement of Datamaran’s regulatory database. 

You understand the scope and purpose of our regulatory database and the value our clients derive from it. From this perspective, you can set up and execute specific research projects related to improving scope and coverage, in-line with client expectations. You are a team player, excited to work alongside our team of legal experts in delivering value for our clients.

You are passionate about the Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) regulatory landscape and familiar with the sustainability reporting landscape globally. 

You will have the opportunity to learn about the synergies between law, ESG risk analysis, materiality analysis, and the use of technology. You will join an international network of talented professionals from whom you will get full support and guidance, expecting you to be self-sufficient and autonomous.

Breakdown of role:

Regulatory research (30%)

  • Research ESG-related regulatory initiatives, national and international regulations, EU Directives, reporting frameworks, guidelines, and industry initiatives
  • Conduct ad-hoc research aligned with client requests
  • Deep-dive into specific jurisdictions, ESG topics, or other segments to discover new regulations

Regulatory analysis & data entry (60%)

  • Perform regulatory analysis (assisted by AI)
  • Undertake data entry
  • Conduct QA/QC as part of the team workflow to ensure quality

Support critical functions of the team (10%)

  • Support data quality projects 
  • Support “ad-hoc” requests

  • This role is likely offered on an initial 12-month Fixed Term Contract. After the first year, employment will transition to an indefinite contract
