Big Data Architect

Responsibilities

• Design and architect Big Data solutions to meet business requirements.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their data and analytics needs.
• Create and maintain data models, data flow diagrams, and data integration strategies.
• Develop and implement data ingestion, processing, and storage solutions using Big Data technologies.
• Optimize data pipelines for performance, scalability, and reliability.
• Ensure data governance and data security best practices are followed.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate Big Data solutions with existing systems.
• Stay updated with emerging Big Data technologies and industry trends.
• Provide guidance and technical leadership to development teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
• 8+ years of experience in Big Data architecture and design.
• Strong understanding of Big Data technologies and frameworks (Hadoop, Spark, HBase, etc.).
• Experience with data warehouse solutions and data modeling.
• Proficient in programming languages such as Java, Scala, or Python.
• Hands-on experience with data processing and ETL tools.
• Experience with cloud platforms and services (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Expertise in data governance and data security principles.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proven track record of successfully delivering large-scale Big Data projects.
