Managers, Data Analysis and Reporting

 

Job Location: EMD Serono, Inc., One Technology Place, Rockland, MA 02370

 

 

Responsibilities:

 

  1. Work with the Business Excellence commercial team and handle different data sets in Redshift and Oracle about MSPDI, iBond, product Rx, Payer data and company sales/shipment data to support daily activities and provide ad-hoc support to users whenever needed;
  2. Analyze data to provide insight into commercial activities and answer business questions to support a data-driven business decision;
  3. Develop different Tableau extracts, Custom SQL and Redshift extracts for report creation needs;
  4. Incorporate different Tableau best practices to optimize and maintain different reports and extracts;
  5. Integrate different SQL best practices to optimize the SQL query for different Redshift extracts;
  6. Create ad-hoc reports to support the users for different POA meetings;
  7. Work closely with the BE Field Planning and Operations team to automate the bonus payout statements and develop reports for different TA teams; and
  8. Engage with other stakeholders at EMD to understand business objectives and provide BI solution to support business decision.

 

Requirements & Qualifications:

 

Employer requires a Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Analytics or a closely related field, and at least two (2) years of work experience as a Data Scientist or in a related occupation documenting requirements and developing innovative, useful and automated visualizations and reporting solutions to meet business needs. In addition, the employer requires the following:

 

  1. Demonstrated ability extracting, transforming and maintaining data in Enterprise Data Warehouse gained through at least two (2) years of work experience;
  2. Demonstrated ability identifying and working with key stakeholders and capturing, categorizing and interpreting stakeholder requirements gained through at least two (2) years of work experience;
  3. Demonstrated ability serving as the point of contact for business users for report requests/ad hoc questions about data gained through at least two (2) years of work experience; and
  4. Demonstrated knowledge of Advanced SQL Server, Oracle, Tableau and Redshift AWS gained through at least two (2) years of work experience.

 

All years of experience may be gained concurrently.

 

Telecommuting is an option as long as the individual is based in the Rockland, Massachusetts region as three (3) days of in-office work per week will be required.
