Job Title: Cloud Engineer (Azure) - Databricks SpecialistLocation: Newark, CA
Position Overview:We are looking for a skilled Cloud Engineer specializing in Azure and Databricks to design, implement, and maintain our data platform architecture. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in building and optimizing data pipelines, data lake solutions, and analytical frameworks using Azure services and Databricks.
Key Responsibilities: Design, deploy, and maintain scalable data platform solutions on Azure Cloud, leveraging services such as Azure Databricks, Azure Data Lake Storage, Azure SQL Database, and Azure Synapse Analytics. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, design data models, and implement end-to-end data solutions that meet business needs. Develop and optimize data pipelines for ingestion, processing, and transformation of structured and unstructured data using Databricks and other relevant tools. Implement best practices for data governance, security, and compliance within the Azure environment. Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure high availability and reliability of data platform infrastructure. Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry trends related to cloud computing, big data, and analytics.
Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; Master's degree preferred. years of experience as a Cloud Engineer, with a focus on Microsoft Azure. Proven expertise in building and managing data platform solutions using Azure services, including Azure Databricks, Azure Data Lake Storage, Azure SQL Database, and Azure Synapse Analytics. Hands-on experience with Databricks for data engineering, data analytics, and machine learning workloads. Strong understanding of data architecture principles, data modeling techniques, and ETL processes. Experience with scripting languages such as Python, PowerShell, or Scala for automation and data manipulation tasks. Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment. Azure certifications (e.g., Azure Data Engineer, Azure Solutions Architect) are a plus.
