General Summary:

The Senior AI Engineer is responsible for developing high-quality, innovative, fully performing AI-based applications in compliance with coding standards. This individual works in partnership with cross-functional teams to ensure that software deliverables, including designs, codes, and tests, are completed in a timely manner while remaining aligned with industry and organizational standards.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

· Designs, builds, and maintains large-scale production services and data pipelines.

· Influence others within the ML/ AI team through the explanation of facts, policies, and practices

· Works on systems critical to company’s current and future operations

· Debugs production issues across services and multiple levels of the stack

· Researches, analyzes, and documents findings.

· Assists with improvement of organizational engineering standards, tooling, and processes

· Participates in the testing process through test review and analysis, test witnessing, and certification of software

· Evaluates codes to ensure validity, proper structure, alignment with industry standards, and compatibility with operating systems

· Maintains an understanding of current technologies or programming practices through continuing education, reading or participation in professional conferences, workshops, or groups.

Knowledge, Skills, and/or Abilities Required:

· Proficient in Python programming with fluency in commonly used libraries (e.g. Langchain, Haystack)

· Strong understanding in Data Structure and OOPs concept.

· Hand-on experience in developing production grade code on a regular basis.

· Experience in developing RAG based Gen AI applications with in-depth understanding of basic concepts like embedding, vector database & LLM.

· Ability to situationally adapt and understand new technology/processes as per business partner requirement.

· Proficient in SQL and/or other data manipulation languages.

· Proficiency in version controls systems such as Git.

· Knowledge of at least one cloud platform (e.g. AWS) and its relevant services (e.g. EMR, S3, and SageMaker).

· Ability to interpret business requirements and translate into ML/ AI deliverables.

· Ability to break down and communicate complex, highly technical concepts to audiences of varying technical understanding.

Educational/Vocational/Previous Experience Recommendations:

· Bachelor/ Master degree in CS or related field.

· 5+ years of relevant experience

Working Conditions:

· Onsite/Hybrid/Remote depending on location

· 0-10% travel may be required
