Job Description

As a Senior Product Analyst at zooplus, you'll serve as the advanced analytics service-provider for our product teams, domains, and verticals within the CPO division. You'll take ownership of the entire analytics pipeline for your assigned stakeholders, from provisioning analytical data (e.g., via analytical data marts) to crafting reports, designing dashboards, conducting data analysis, creating visualizations, generating insights, and offering actionable recommendations.

Your role involves close collaboration with designated product areas, understanding their unique business goals and challenges. You'll ensure that the insights you uncover are fully aligned with our product strategy and objectives. When necessary, you'll coordinate with relevant colleagues to ensure data generation and collection meet your requirements, ensuring you have all the necessary data to perform your analyses effectively.

You'll play a pivotal role in fostering a data-driven culture within zooplus. By sharing your insights with your assigned product area and business teams, you'll empower them to make informed decisions. Additionally, you'll provide training to team members, enabling them to independently access and utilize reporting data, further strengthening our data-driven approach.

Key responsibilities:

  • Full ownership of the end-to-end analytics service pipeline for the designated stakeholders.
  • Digging deep into the product-specific datasets in order to provide actionable insights.
  • Periodic presentation of your findings for all the key-stakeholders with your recommendations for action.
  • Work together with other analysts in your department sharing your findings and presenting your work
  • Being the specialist of your product domains' data and providing support regarding this data across other analysts
  • Guiding less senior team members in their day-to-day work, and acting as the Team Lead's deputy when required
  • Having the overview of analyses and research conducted in other product teams, recommending relevant analyses and experiments to further test the hypotheses arising from the work being done within these teams
  • Assisting in evaluating product-related hypotheses arising from user research
  • Periodic communication of key-findings to upper management, and continuous development of the team's communication approach
  • Further development of the team in alignment with the Team Lead and/or Head of Department

Qualifications

  • Advanced analytical understanding and critically thinking mindset
  • Strong understanding of product management ideally in e-commerce contact, and its KPIs
  • Combination of 5 years of experience in a modern product development environment with a data analytical focus.
  • Proven track record of leading major analytics projects that impacted the whole company
  • Excellent analytical and statistical skills based on several years of working experience
  • Ability to combine insights from various different sources and products
  • Ability to present complex datasets in an understandable way, and adjusting the communication based on the tech knowledge of the different audiences
  • Expert-level developing dashboards / using Tableau, Power BI or similar tools
  • Expert-level knowledge of Adobe Analytics or similar tools (for digital customer-facing products)
  • Advanced SQL knowledge
  • Good knowledge of statistical program packages (e.g. using Python or R)
  • First steps in project & team leadership
  • Good to have a Bachelors or Masters degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Data Science or similar
