We are looking for a Senior Data Scientist to join the Content Data Science team at WBD.

As a Senior Data Scientist at WBD, you will take a key role in developing and deploying suites of machine learning models to predict content performance on Max, in turn driving business decision-making for our streaming platform. Projects you will likely work on include developing innovative metrics and predictive models to represent the impact of content performance. You will work with the data science team to implement best practices in data and code quality and collaborate with business stakeholders to solve broader business problems with data-driven insights.

The Daily

  • Analyze datasets and develop solutions to business problems using machine learning and statistical techniques

  • Create impact by solving difficult data science problems using a variety of ML techniques with careful investigations into accuracy / performance

  • Synthesize analytical and statistical approaches into easy-to-consume storylines, both visually and verbally, and clearly communicate with both non-data science audiences and data scientists

  • Work closely with the wider data science team to implement best practices and maintain high-quality output

The Essentials

  • M.S. or Ph.D. degree in Mathematics, Machine Learning, Engineering, Physics or other quantitative fields preferred.

  • At least 4 years of experience in an industry setting

  • Knowledge of underlying mathematical foundations of statistics, machine learning, optimization and analytics

  • Experience building and using state of the art models such as deep learning in NLP or computer vision or similar application

  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills

  • Experienced in Python and SQL

Nice to Haves

  • Proven ability in building relationships and collaborating with stakeholders across large organizations

  • Experience with deep learning in NLP and knowledge of language embeddings

  • Experience in causal analysis

In compliance with local law, we are disclosing the compensation, or a range thereof, for roles in locations where legally required. Actual salaries will vary based on several factors, including but not limited to external market data, internal equity, location, skill set, experience, and/or performance. Base pay is just one component of Warner Bros. Discovery’s total compensation package for employees. Pay Range: $119,700.00 - $222,300.00 salary per year. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, short- and long-term incentives, and program-specific awards. In addition, Warner Bros. Discovery provides a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, an employee wellness program, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays and sick time and vacation.
