Let's start with the role

We are looking for an outstanding Business Intelligence Engineer to join our fast-growing BI & Analytics team and drive expansion for the departments across Kaizen Gaming in the next phase of an exciting scale-up data journey. You will be mainly focusing, but not limited to, on topics relevant to design, implementation and maintenance of systems used to collect and analyze business intelligence cross-divisional data.

 

As a Business Intelligence Engineer you will

  • Manage, optimize & monitor complex ETL jobs with a focus on scalability and efficiency;
  • Monitor system audits, dashboard reporting and presentation layer functioning and performance;
  • Lead the BI software development, deployment and maintenance;
  • Propose and implement data schema and data flow optimization for BI department reporting needs;
  • Establish business requirements for BI tools, translating them into technical ones;
  • Enhance documentation on Data Lake architecture;
  • Collaborate closely with both internal and external teams to understand and apply changes/modifications impacting Data Lake;
  • Participate in the BI Governance strategy.

 

What you’ll bring

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in a quantitative discipline such as computer science, engineering, statistics & mathematics or similar;
  • 3+ years working experience in a engineering, reporting, or quantitative role;
  • Exceptional ability to formulate business requirements for BI tools (PowerBI, Tableau etc) and to translate business requirements into technical ones;
  • Experience with Spark and Python; 
  • Experience with Databricks is strongly preferred;
  • Hands on experience in highly-optimized SQL scripts in large-scale data structures and OLAP cubes;
  • Exceptional skills in debugging and troubleshooting;
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to prioritize, meet deadlines and identify opportunities with limited oversight;
  • High drive, can-do attitude, proactive and flexible to changing business demands.
