Position Summary

The Manager, Site SAP Master Data analyst is a member of the Leiden Manufacturing Site’s Supply Chain team. This is a business role. You will execute tasks related to Product, Warehouse, Manufacturing and Quality Control master data in the ERP System following GxP guidelines. This includes and is not limited to data entry, data analysis, workflow follow-up, coordination activities, functional testing of ERP system and manufacturing ERP data technical development maintenance. You will act as a master data expert for the Site and coordinate and / or support SAP data related projects.

This position will work in close collaboration with Global Master Data, Manufacturing, Quality Assurance and other internal stakeholders. This position is intended for someone with a strong understanding of how systems, data and process design impact a supply chain. You are passionate about the importance that Master Data has in the Supply Chain. Since a part of the global MD organization is in different US time zones, the ideal candidate is expected to work partially in US time zones.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develops and implements master data performance measurement.
  • Hands on as well as coordinate activities of a wide team of SAP functional experts and Business Analysts and Business users.
  • Collaborate with peers, Site ERP, IT, engineering, quality and validation personnel to support integration testing and cut over activities of boundary systems with the manufacturing execution system and/or ERP system, LIMS etc in support of manufacturing processes.
  • Liaison with Global Data Team to ensure alignment to global standards.
  • Collaborate within the Supply Chain department and with manufacturing, quality control, quality assurance, IT, and global master data management to determine business requirements for the design of master data
  • Translate business requirements into a robust master data design, which is compliant, efficient, and effective.
  • Develop and execute cGMP change controls and change requests for master data changes
  • Collaborate with IT and other site departments to manage, testing execution related to the SAP S4Hana and integrated MD related to MES, LIMS CMMS system(s) (i.e., development testing, integration testing, user acceptance testing, regression testing).
  • Manage and support go live from site perspective in alignment with global teams. These go lives are typically on weekends.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in systems engineering or related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in SAP manufacturing, procurement, IM or EWM required.
  • Deep understanding in master data management, ERP development and integrations with other Systems
  • Aiming for the full picture and the full understanding of the other’s implication.
  • Solid understanding of the SAP Data Models and most commonly used Master- and Transactional Data elements.
  • Demonstrable experience with migrations of SAP data in complex, global, release-deployed SAP programs.
  • Strong SAP functional background ideally implementation experience is preferred.
  • Self-motivated, proactive person who can work in ambiguous environment and able to work with minimal supervision
