The TPM will manage the full project lifecycle of large complex innovative programs aimed at improving the efficiency and lowering the cost of Amazon’s next-generation Fulfillment Centers, Sortation Centers, Air Hubs, and Air Gateways. This position is responsible for the planning and execution of Complex large scale NPI programs while serving as liaison between Systems Engineering, Software Engineering, Deployment Engineering, Solutions, Manufacturing & Supply Chain, Customer Support, and various program verticals.

Key job responsibilities
- Lead the effective and efficient delivery of System and Hardware Product Development programs and projects , working closely with mechanical, electrical and embedded systems teams
- Interact with Deployment Engineering, Manufacturing, Global Support Services, and other key stakeholders to define and deliver to project goals to improve performance, reduce cost, and reduce installation cycle time
- Collaborate cross functionally to support solution development and integration. An ideal candidate has experience with hardware/software integration
- Triage, prioritize, and execute against incoming requests from the field for Hardware engineering support
- Drive consensus on technical decisions and ensure the appropriate resources are employed to deliver high quality results
- Lead the partnership between hardware engineering, product management and systems engineering to develop and decompose comprehensive functional requirements
- Identify, assess, track and mitigate issues and risks at the program level
- Create, maintain and disseminate project information to stakeholders
- Drive effective teamwork, communication, collaboration and commitment across multiple disparate groups with competing priorities
- Develop and drive project schedules
- Drive programs across all HW disciplines including Mechanical, Electrical, Firmware, Safety, Regulatory, HW Test Engineering
- Partner with groups external to Hardware Engineering to successfully deliver on project goals

Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science or equivalent
- 7+ years of experience in hardware development across full product life cycles for concept development to manufacturing
- 5+ years of experience managing scope, schedule and resources across multiple cross-functional hardware engineering teams
- Track record of managing collaborative, cross functional technology, product management, reliability, regulatory and testing teams to deliver complex products under tight time constraints
- Demonstrated ability to deliver multiple projects at different complexity levels in parallel
- Demonstrated ability to utilize a variety of project management tools, methodologies and techniques for all phases of the project lifecycle and exhibit proficiency in core project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, resources, quality and risk management, reporting and metric development/tracking
- Ability to develop Gantt Charts & identify project critical path
- Experience developing and executing against project schedules
- Experience working in a fast-paced matrix technical organization
- Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical individuals
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Proven problem solving skills
- Strong organizational skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong written and verbal communication skills- Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical individuals
- 5+ years of experience leading interdisciplinary discussions between Hardware, Reliability, Firmware, Software, Industrial design and Product management teams to define and drive scope and clarity of work
- Experience driving multiple products through a complete life-cycle
- Prior experience with robotics and mechatronics or related product
- Ability to excel in a fast-paced, startup-like environment
- Basic fundamental knowledge of mechanical and electrical design to channel dependencies with partner teams in Manufacturing Test, Reliability, Sourcing, Hardware Quality, Safety, Compliance, EMC, Firmware, Security and Networking
- Proven experience in launching hardware from concept to production. Ability to manage schedule of end of life dependencies along with product obsolescence and sustaining current product in the field
- Project Management Professional or Certified Scrum Master certifications
