Responsibilities

SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES: Every team member of the C Spire Crew is charged with bringing our corporate vision to life.

 

As the Team Lead, BI Analytics, you will play a crucial role in managing a team of analysts who create visualizations, query the data warehouse, and present insights to leadership. You will also be responsible for analyzing complex data sets, developing reports and dashboards, and providing actionable insights to key stakeholders. This role requires strong leadership skills, technical expertise, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

1. Lead a team of BI analysts in creating visualizations, querying the data warehouse, and presenting insights to leadership.

2. Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into actionable analytics solutions.

3. Analyze sales and service data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.

4. Develop and maintain reports, dashboards, and data visualizations to track key performance metrics for the Commercial Sales and Service division.

5. Provide guidance and mentorship to team members, helping them develop their skills and grow professionally.

6. Ensure data accuracy and integrity by implementing best practices for data governance and quality assurance.

7. Present findings and recommendations to senior leadership to support decision-making processes.

Qualifications

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

· Baccalaureate degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Business Administration, Information Systems, Computer Science, Economics, Engineering, or equivalent experience.

· Four or more years of direct work experience using analytics software or other data analysis tools.

· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

· Experience using data visualization software.

· Excellent oral and written communication skills. Including the ability to communicate clearly and succinctly.

· Strong organization and presentation skills.

· Excellent planning and execution, with attention to detail; ability to support multiple projects simultaneously.

· Able to work well independently and as part of a team.

· Ability to be productive with minimal direction or guidance.

· Ability to operate effectively within a complex, dynamic environment.

 

PREFERRED:

· Graduate degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Business Administration, Information Systems, Computer Science, Economics, Engineering, or equivalent experience.

· Five or more years of directly related experience.

· Experience using Business Objects Web Intelligence, SAP Analytics Cloud, Power BI, R, SPSS, or SAS.

· Experience leading a team.

· Proficiency in SQL, Excel, and data visualization tools such as SAP Analytics Cloud, Tableau, or Power BI

· Experience using data models and ERDs.

· Experience developing data stories.

· Experience designing, developing, evaluating, and releasing highly innovative models and data stories.

 

 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORKING CONDITIONS:

Must be able to sit for long periods of time and use computer keyboard and mouse, while viewing computer screen. Must be willing to work flexible schedule which may include occasional work after-hours and weekends.
