The Role

We are looking for a curious junior data engineer to help us on our journey of building a best-in-class data and analytics infrastructure. We are using some of the latest and best tools in our goal to create excellent data management and data structure. We want to deliver exceptional data products and internal data driven support.

Our focus is on optimising the data resource and developing strategic growth plans and commercial strategies for the businesses.

Your key responsibilities will be to oversee our company’s data systems, optimise the data assets for commercial benefit and use and support in the development and optimisation of the data infrastructure.

You will learn from and be supported by a stable team of experts and the role will allow you to stand out and ultimately progress within the company.

Key responsibilities

  • Create and maintain pipelines and database architecture
  • Create and maintain database infrastructure
  • Help assemble large, complex sets of data that meet non-functional and functional business requirements
  • Identify, design and implement internal process improvements including re-designing infrastructure for greater scalability, optimizing data delivery, and automating manual processes
  • Support in building required infrastructure for optimal extraction, transformation and loading of data from various data sources.
  • Support in the building of the analytical tools to utilize the data pipeline
  • Work with organisation stakeholders including data, design, product and executive teams and assisting them with data-related technical issues
  • Working with stakeholders including the Product, Data and Design teams to support their data infrastructure needs while assisting with data-related technical issues

Requirements

  • Experience in a Computer Science, Data Engineering or relevant field.
  • Strong problem solving with ability to scope, structure and solve complex issues with high levels of ambiguity
  • Ability to work alone or within a group.
  • Curios and committed to finding solutions
