This is a contract opportunity for a Lead Data Engineer to start ASAP. Experience of working with Informatica tools is essential. Active SC preferred.

We primarily work in the public sector, supporting initiatives that improve society and the lives of citizens; with not-for-profit organisations, charities and social enterprises; and with some private-sector companies. The key sectors we're working in at the moment include education, apprenticeships & skills development, social care, rehabilitation, housing and criminal justice, but we're always growing, developing and finding out about new things. 

This is a fantastic opportunity to build and improve scalable data pipelines that underpin the delivery of data products and services for an exciting government project.  

The role:

We are looking for a lead data engineer who values: 

  • Developing robust and scalable data systems that support data-driven solutions; 
  • Automating data pipelines and processes to enable efficient and reliable data integration; 
  • Building and maintaining data architectures that ensure data quality, security, and governance; 
  • Working closely with cross-functional teams to define and implement data solutions that meet business needs; 
  • Leading and mentoring a team of data engineers, providing technical guidance and support; 
  • Staying up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in data engineering and driving continuous improvement within the team; 
  • Collaborating with clients to understand their data requirements and translate them into technical solutions; 
  • Presenting technical concepts and solutions to non-technical stakeholders in a clear and concise manner; 
  • Contributing to the growth and development of the data engineering practice within Farsight.

Requirements
