About PayPay
PayPay, a FinTech company that has surpassed 61 million users in just five years since its launch in 2018, is currently made up of diverse members from approximately 50 countries and regions. Although the number of employees has already exceeded several thousand, the company is still in the growth stage and is still "unfinished." In building PayPay, we collaborate with Paytm, India's largest payment service provider, and leverage Paytm's customer-oriented technology to build smartphone payment services in Japan and continue to expand the service.
Our biggest rival is "cash". We are passionate about rapidly promoting the spread of cashless payments in Japan and making PayPay a financial life platform - taking incremental steps and proactively tackling this challenge, refining the product at an overwhelming speed that no other company can imitate. We are looking for colleagues who will take initiative, discover issues on their own, and collaborate with those around them to promote the creation of new value.
About the role
We’re looking for someone to help lead the future of analytics at PayPay. This person will enable PayPay to get 1% better every day by developing data products and insights, partnering closely with business and product stakeholders to prioritize and execute on work, improve reporting, as well as drive results and process improvements. As a data analyst in the Product Division, you will utilize the vast amount of data generated from over 61 million users and 2.35 million stores to make the PayPay ecosystem more convenient and profitable. By increasing the number of users and usage frequency, you will have many opportunities to contribute to PayPay's growth and profitability.

- Working closely with product managers to understand reporting requirements, support data-driven decision making, and deliver actionable insights to relevant decision-makers
- Proactively analyzing data to answer key questions for stakeholders or yourself, verifying independent ideas and examples from other companies that we are interested in, and making suggestions for product and function development/improvement
- Designing/proposing product KPIs, creating dashboards, and monitoring relevant data
- Creating/maintaining rich interactive visualizations through data interpretation and analysis, with reporting components from multiple data sources
- Contributing to data-driven processes and initiatives (knowledge sharing, rule creation, introduction of new tools, stakeholder support and education, etc.), developing clear documentation and education materials, proactively identifying opportunities for improvement
- Interacting cross-functionally with product, business planning, marketing, and sales analysts to share analytical knowledge and collaborate.
- Designing/building data warehouses and data marts for the products we are responsible for, and making it easy for anyone to utilize product data.
