Job Description

A Data Analyst obtains, adjusts, and validates data imported from other systems into Illuminate products.   As such, part of their work involves working directly with customers to obtain the data we need.  They must be detail-oriented and able to spot data problems or inconsistencies, and determine proper remediations. 

Key Responsibilities 

• Support districts in the overall data extract and import process into Illuminate systems. 
• Identify data problems and perform root cause analysis. 
• Assist in improvement of overall data processes. 
• Manage the internal process and workflow for data problems. 
• Work with clients to ensure that all required data elements are provided and the data expectations are clear. 
• Communicate status of data problems and issues clearly with the entire team. 
• Work with customers to understand their data needs. 
• Respond to advanced data help desk tickets. 

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Math, Computer Science, Engineering or similar field. 
• 2+ years of experience in data analysis. 
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel. 
• Basic knowledge of ETL processes. 
• Proven organizational skills and workflow management. 
• Experience with regular expressions preferred. 
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills. 
• Ability to work independently to solve problems. 

Preferred Experience & Qualifications 

• Experience in SQL 
• Experience working in an education tech environment 
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills 

Additional Information

Salary Range: $51,000-$70,000
