Location: London (hybrid working arrangements, typically 2 days per week in the office).


Employment type: 1 year fixed- term contract. 


Employment basis: The role is expected to be a full- time position however we are open to discussing a more flexible or part- time approach where possible.


Salary: £35,000 - £38,000 dependent on experience, plus bonus and other benefits.

The Opportunity

Come and join our expanding Sizewell C (SZC) team and work on one of the most exciting and largest megaprojects in the UK, whilst being at the forefront of the UK’s climate change agenda and energy policy. Following on from the success of Hinkley Point C (HPC), the SZC Project is a nuclear new build project in Suffolk, which has obtained planning approval and Government financing support. The project has started construction and is now seeking private investment. When completed, it will provide dependable electricity to 6 million homes for 60 years, which along with renewables, will support Britain to achieve Net Zero by 2050.


We have a fantastic opportunity for a Power BI Developer to join us on a 1-year fixed term contract, to support with transforming our data into actionable insights. 


Our teams are set up to work flexibly, with a hybrid working approach between our offices and your home. We provide a full suite of IT equipment to ensure that our employees can work from home comfortably and effectively.

 

The Role


You’ll get involved with identifying, gathering, analysing data and making their insights accessible to the SZC team through easy-to-understand graphs, charts, tables and reports.


As a Power BI Developer with us, you'll play a pivotal role in transforming complex data into actionable insights that shape the future of nuclear energy. You'll collaborate with a diverse team of professionals, from engineers to project managers, to develop cutting-edge BI solutions that optimize performance, enhance efficiency, and drive strategic decision-making.


Typical activities will include:


Designing, developing, and maintaining Power BI dashboards and reports.


Collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify data requirements and business objectives.


Optimizing data models and ETL processes to ensure accuracy and reliability.


Providing insights and recommendations based on data analysis to support strategic initiatives.


Staying abreast of industry trends and best practices to continuously improve BI solutions.

 

The Skills


You’ll be passionate about and have experience with Power BI development, including DAX and M (Power Query). 


Experience with risk and cost scheduling would be highly beneficial. 


It’d be great if you’ve got some experience with SQL, though not essential.
