Job Description

We have an opening for a full-time Data Engineer to join our team in Sydney.  The Data Engineer role will see you become a data SME across all FinClear platforms. This is a key role that will see you leverage your skills across the Microsoft developer suite to help both internal and external stakeholders make sense of data and to support them in making informed strategic decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Designing, developing and maintaining software systems for data management
• Developing and reimagining the ETL process
• Building and maintaining integrations into 3rd party systems
• Liaising with stakeholders to investigate and respond to data related queries
• Working with a team to design and deliver both automated and ad hoc reporting or transformation requests
• Providing ad hoc and scheduled reporting of various datasets to internal and external stakeholders
• Assisting with onboarding, migrating, and delivering new technology to clients
• Managing source code, documentation, and deployment
• Performing performance tuning and administration responsibilities

The tech stack you will be working on

• QL BI – SSRS, SSIS, SSAS & PowerBI
• Java, .NET
• AWS
• Python, Jira, Jenkins, Bitbucket & GIT
• Upcoming Modern Data Warehouse

Qualifications

• A track record in Data Modelling, Analysis, ETL and reporting
• SQL Development capabilities – DDL, DML Scripts & Performance tuning
• Experience leveraging the SQL BI Stack – SSRS, SSIS, SSAS & Power BI
• Tertiary qualified within an IT related discipline
