WHAT YOU'LL DO:

  • Proactively identify key questions vital to our business success, employing robust analytical techniques to turn data into actionable knowledge. This role requires a keen ability to dissect complex problems, form comprehensive conclusions, and deliver well-founded recommendations.
  • Utilize advanced statistical analysis and data mining skills to develop insights that drive innovation and competitive differentiation. Mastery of relevant tools and methodologies to perform data manipulation and visualization is essential.
  • Act as a catalyst for change by partnering with the analytics team, product directors, and business leaders. Your insights will inform strategic decisions that enhance operational efficiency, profitability, and market position.
  • Clearly and persuasively communicate findings and recommendations both visually and in writing to stakeholders at all levels. Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to implement data-driven strategies and measure their impact.
  • Guide the company in adopting new analytical techniques and insights, ensuring that our data strategy aligns with and supports our broader business objectives.
     

As a Data Scientist focused on product development, you will be instrumental in shaping our data-driven products through the following activities

  • Build and maintain end-to-end machine learning pipelines, encompassing time series forecasting and ETL processes. Utilize various APIs to efficiently extract data and integrate these elements into our product offerings.
  • Perform in-depth analysis of large datasets to extract actionable insights that influence product features and business strategies. Focus on leveraging data for high-impact decisions and creating features that enhance our data products.
  • Implement processes to ensure data integrity and quality across all stages of data collection and processing.
  • Develop processes to monitor data quality, ensuring that it remains accurate and readily available for stakeholders.
  • Create automation processes that streamline tasks, particularly for teams that generate revenue, thereby reducing time spent on non-revenue activities.
  • Design and implement dynamic reporting dashboards that track key performance indicators, providing stakeholders with actionable insights to drive business decisions.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor by using your findings to influence the strategic direction of the business. Communicate insights effectively to cross-functional teams to support informed decision-making.
  • Contribute to the development and refinement of product roadmaps by providing data-driven insights and analyses.
  • Advocate for the power of analytics within the organization and beyond. Lead training sessions and create communications to promote the benefits of data-driven decision making and cultivate a culture oriented towards analytics as a core business competency.
  • Act as a publicly visible figure within the company, driving accountability and showcasing the value of analytics through various forums and interactions.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED:

  • A Master’s Degree in a related discipline or a BS/BA with equivalent professional experience. Preferred Majors: Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or Economics
  • At least 3 years of experience in applying quantitative methods to solve complex analytical problems. Related fields and experience will also be considered
     

WHAT YOU'LL BRING

  • Exceptional ability to analyze complex data problems and develop innovative solutions, capable of working autonomously as well as in collaborative settings
  • Proficient with popular machine learning frameworks such as TensorFlow and PyTorch, and libraries like scikit-learn and pandas to drive insightful data analysis
  • Strong command of SQL, Python, and R for data manipulation and statistical analysis
  • Knowledgeable in using leading data platforms, including Databricks and Azure Data Factory, to integrate and manage data effectively
  • Experienced with cloud services from providers like Azure and AWS, leveraging their capabilities for scalable data solutions
  • Skilled in database management and query optimization with platforms such as Snowflake, MySQL, and MSSQL
  • Proficiency in Tableau for creating impactful visual representations of complex datasets
