Staff Cloud Data Engineer

Your new responsibilities

• You will work closely with data scientists, analysts, and other stakeholders to understand data needs and provide data engineering support.
• You will collaborate with data architects and stakeholders to design and implement cloud-based data solutions that meet business requirements.
• You will build, test, and deploy scalable data pipelines to ingest, process, and transform data from various sources.
• You will Implement automation and orchestration of data workflows to enhance efficiency and reliability.
• You will analyze and communicate issues, including problems with data integrity, data design, and functional and technical software issues.
• You will create and maintain comprehensive documentation for data engineering processes, workflows, and configurations.

What we look for

• Bachelor’s degree and above in Computer Science, Software Engineering or similar
• Minimum 5 years of related working experience with cloud data warehouse technologies, preferably Snowflake and/or Databricks
• Hands-on experience in data warehouse modelling preferably with data vault 2.0 and/or star schema
• In-depth understanding of relational databases (SQL) and ETL (Extract, transform, load) frameworks
• Experience in data staging with SQL and Python
• Experience in data visualization tools preferable PowerBI
• Experience in data integration tools like Apache Nifi, Theobald Universal Xtract, Azure Data Factory
• Experience in orchestration of data pipelines with dbt and Apache Airflow
• Good understanding of agile methodologies like SCRUM.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to communicate project goals and objectives, project status and deliverables with senior executives. Participate with the management team in developing a vision and strategic plan to guide the organization.
• Problem-solving attitude and excellent communication skills
• Fluent English.
• Experience working in a global organization.
