What You Will Do:

  • Utilize analytics to support Gartner Digital Market’s mission to be the leading resource for software buyers and sellers.

  • Lead the initiatives with a team of data analysts to deliver actionable insights and recommendations that drive product-let growth and enhance the user experience of our vendor-facing products.

  • Collaborate with product managers, engineers, data scientists and other stakeholders to define key metrics, KPIs, and success criteria for our products.

  • Design and implement data collection and tracking mechanisms to gather relevant data and ensure data integrity and accuracy.

  • Analyze large datasets to identify trends, patterns, insights and opportunities for optimization and improvement in our vendor-facing products.

  • Manage the backlog of requests and prioritize the projects according to the global priorities.

  • Manage and/or mentor analysts and help them with their analyses and report creation.

  • Ensure the right automation and alerting systems are in place to monitor data quality and performance.

What You Will Need:

  • Bachelor’s Degree, preferably with a quantitative concentration (e.g., statistics, mathematics, engineering, computer science, or economics). An advanced degree is a plus.

  • 5-7 years of experience involving analysis of large volumes of data with strong hands-on experience with analytical tools. Experience in e-commerce or marketplace platforms is a plus.

  • 5+ years of experience using SQL, Python and Advanced Excel. Experience in Snowflake and PowerBI (preferred)

  • A proven take record of being in people influencing & mentorship roles will be preferred

  • Proficient with the Google suite (Sheets, Docs, Slides) and Microsoft suite of business applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.).

  • Experience working with web analytics tools like Google Analytics is a plus.

  • Ability to gather, analyze, restructure, identify and articulate insights from qualitative and quantitative data. 

  • Proven track record of solving complex problems, thinking creatively, and using data to tell a story to influence senior-level stakeholders.

  • Strong verbal and written communication with a track record of working independently
