Artificial Intelligence and machine learning are at the cutting edge when it comes to shaping next-gen mobility in areas like autonomous driving. But it takes real thought leadership and expertise to identify and then harness the AI trends and technologies that will transform the way people travel for good. And that’s where you come in. 

As part of BMW Group IT, our team is responsible for bringing the latest Generative AI technologies to the BMW Group. With our expertise, we are exploring new areas of application for generative AI, and we are developing industrial use cases in all divisions of the BMW Group. This includes not only business applications, but also applications leveraging the potential of Generative AI in our IT processes.

What awaits you?

• You analyze the potential of applying latest Generative AI methodologies in BMW. Your focus in not only on business but also on IT processes. You closely monitor the market development to make informed make or buy decisions.
• You implement Generative Artificial Intelligence applications to improve or rethink our business & IT processes.
• You collaborate closely with various other IT departments to ensure a seamless process integration.
• As part of building your applications, you analyze and integrate data from various data sources, integrate with other applications and you choose and apply the right Generative AI models and approaches.
• You align closely with our GenAI platform team and contribute components that can be reused across different applications.
• You proof the validity of your UseCase ideas with implementing proof of concepts. For the industrialization of your applications, you leverage the potential of our IT hubs und external partners.

What should you bring along?

• University degree in Computer Science, Data Science or a related subject.
• At least 3 years of professional experience in applying artificial intelligence on industry scale.
• Profound professional experience with programming in Python, Java or similar programming languages.
• Experience working with public cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Microsoft Azure), APIs, and databases.
• Business-fluent English or German, Basic German skills (at least B1).
