YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

Mission Lane LLC is hiring for the following role in Richmond, VA: Senior Data Scientist to coordinate the development, validation, and delivery of algorithms, statistical models, and reporting tools to provide usable information to the business. Duties include: design, execute, utilize, and maintain software engineering servicing applications; manage the effective operations of critical systems; implement effective data-driven engineering processes, providing transparency, and predictability; coordinate work with software engineering team members to evaluate their performance; establish analytical rigor and statistical methods to analyze large amounts of data; support to recruit engineering personnel, technical staffing, and project teams formation; apply programming skills and introduce best practices to the team to encourage the adoption of new ideas; track and analyze metrics and data to measure and improve the health, capacity, skill level, engagement and productivity of our engineering teams; coordinate the planning and delivery of complex technical projects; foster a culture of growth from within through mentorship; work with our product team to fulfill our deliverables roadmap; promote Mission Lane and our team to the broader SF engineering community; deliver quality software, maintain excellent operations and level of service, and help teams continuously improve; and influence our technology decisions with our CTO. OUR REQUIREMENTS

Master degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Biomedical Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, Engineering or a related field and two (2) years of experience in the job offered or related occupation. Position also requires two (2) years of experience in each of the following: Agile methodologies or SAFe Software Development Principles; Designing data models and solutions for analytical and reporting use cases; Machine learning, statistical analysis, and predictive modeling; Python, R, and SQL; Hadoop, Hive, MySQL, and NoSQL; Tableau and Power BI; and Software development lifecycle.
