The Role: Senior Data Scientist – NLP, LLM, GEN AI

The Team:

• This team is recognized for its expertise, innovation, and passion. Together, you will work on building and deploying ML/LLM powered products and capabilities to power natural language understanding, data extraction, information retrieval and data sourcing solutions for S&P Global Market Intelligence.

The Impact: This role is a unique opportunity for hands-on ML scientists and NLP/Gen AI/ LLM scientists to grow into the next step in their career journey and apply their technical expertise in NLP, deep learning, GenAI, and LLMs to drive business value for multiple stakeholders while conducting cutting-edge applied research around LLMs, Gen AI, and related areas.

What’s in it for you:

• 5 to 10 years of relevant experience in ML Engineering

Responsibilities:

• Participate as part of a project team and collaborating with cross-functional teams to design, code, test and implement programs.
• Play a central role in all stages of the AI based product development life cycle.
• Design and develop custom ML, Gen AI, NLP, LLM Models; Model components will include data ingestion, preprocessing, search and retrieval, Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG), NLP/LLM model development, fine-tuning and prompt engineering and ensure the solution meets all technical and business requirements.
• Work closely with other members of data science, MlOps, technology teams in the design, development, and implementation of the ML model solutions.
• Write and maintain comprehensive documentation of ML modeling processes and procedures for reference and knowledge sharing.
• Fine-tuning LLMs or building Copilots using LLMs/Azure models to address complex business problems
• Training and evaluating LLM’s Copilots using techniques such as transfer learning and reinforcement learning
• Work as part of an agile team to identify and deliver solutions to prioritized requirements
• Keeping up to date with the latest industry trends and technologies
• Participating in code reviews and providing constructive feedback.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or higher qualification in Computer Science, Information Systems or equivalent is preferred.
