Manager – Data Architect

EY’s Data n’ Analytics team is a multi-disciplinary technology team delivering client projects and solutions across Data Management, Visualization, Business Analytics and Automation. The assignments cover a wide range of countries and industry sectors.

The opportunity

We’re looking for Manager Data Architect. The main purpose of the role is to help spearhead a product development team that works on conceptualizing, designing, developing, deploying and maintaining complex technology products which help EY solve business problems for the clients. The team is responsible for building multiple technology assets which form a part of diverse product suite, to help our clients in the areas of valuations, diligence, divestitures, mergers and acquisitions.

• Drive industry solutions including the development of intellectual capital, development or reusable assets and deployment of industry solution. Captures user requirements and ensures design and technical specifications meet user and business requirements.
• Acts as an intermediary between the business and the technical community to understand business requirements and define the solution and data architecture required to translate business requirements into workable solutions. Evaluates the architecture of a solution to understand how technical decisions may impact business outcomes and recommends solutions / technologies that align with the business requirements

Your key responsibilities

• Minimum 8+ years of relevant experience in Data Architecture
• Extensive experience as IT/multi-cloud consultant (Azure and AWS) in a technical solution and architect role for cloud-based, infra, on-prem etc solutions.
• Extensive experience in infrastructure management (Cloud, compute, storage, network), CI/CD toolchains, data warehousing as well as asset and services catalogue systems
• Extensive experience of client facing experience – strong, collaborative client relationships
• Experience in preparing solution architecture documents using various architecture diagrams like Conceptual, Information, Functional, Logical, Physical, Component, Integration, Security diagrams
• Knowledge in middleware and/or security experience
• Responsible for delivering solution designs and architectures for key global initiatives using IaaS, PaaS and SaaS hosting models.
• Proficiency in analysing complex business requirements and translating them into process models for better understanding and process analysis
• Broad understanding of – Data modelling, Data Integration, Data Virtualization, Master Data Management, Business Intelligence, Machine Learning.
• Maintain and develop positive, productive, and professional relationships with EY offices globally to develop GDS opportunities
• Spearhead and develop participation in proposals and business development opportunities and participate in responding to proposals and new business opportunities

Skills and attributes for success

• Experience implementing single- and multi-tenant cloud applications
• Strong analytical skills – ability to develop an idea into solution, define features, qualitative and quantitative analysis. In-depth knowledge of more than one business domains
• Knowledge of the latest information security best practices related to cloud application architectures and developer workflow.
• Capable of technical deep dives into infrastructure, databases, and applications as needed, yet cognitively agile enough to have strategy discussions with leadership.
• Experience with project planning, implementation, and execution
• Attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure
• Excellent communication (written and oral) skills capable of discussing complex ideas with various groups, ranging from a board room to business unit leads
• Organized and structured in the completion of tasks
• Experience of working in advisory/consulting/industry environment

To qualify for the role, you must have

• BE (in Electronics or Computers), B. Tech or equivalent & a relevant Post Graduation course
• Relevant work experience of minimum 8– 11 years in a big 4 or technology/ consulting set up

Ideally, you’ll also have

• Ability to think strategically/end-to-end with result-oriented mindset
• Ability to build rapport within the firm and win the trust of the clients
• Willingness to travel extensively and to work on client sites / practice office locations
