Job Description
Role
We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Cloud Cost Modeling Analyst with a specific technical focus on customer usage within our Azure and private cloud.
In this role, the Analyst will be responsible for analyzing customer cloud usage patterns and identifying opportunities for cost optimization for both a customer as well as infrastructure costs.
The ideal candidate should have a deep understanding of Azure services, cost management tools, and a strong background in financial analysis. Key Responsibilities
- Azure Cost Analysis : Conduct in-depth analysis of Azure cloud usage, expenditure, and cost drivers to identify opportunities for cost optimization and missed opportunities.
- Customer Usage Analysis: Analyze customer cloud usage patterns to understand resource allocation, utilization, and their impact on costs.
- Cost Modeling: Develop and maintain detailed cost models for Azure resources and services to support financial forecasting and budgeting.
- Recommendations: Provide recommendations for optimizing cloud spending, including rightsizing resources, reserved instances, and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
- Cost Reporting: Generate regular cost reports and dashboards to communicate cost insights to management and project teams.

- Optimization Recommendations: Provide recommendations for optimizing customer cloud costs, including rightsizing resources, reserved instances, and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
Qualifications
To be considered for this role, we are after candidates with
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, Business, Computer Science, or a related field. A master's degree is a plus.
- Proven experience in private and public cloud cost modeling and optimization with a specific focus on customer usage.
- Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure and cloud cost management tools.
- Proficiency in financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Tableau Development Experience
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with customers and convey cost insights and recommendations.
- Cloud certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect) are a plus.
- Familiarity with cloud cost optimization frameworks and best practices.
- ServiceNow Experience
Desirable Skills and Experience
- Data analysis and modeling using tools like Microsoft Excel, Tableau or similar platforms.
- Technical Dashboard development leveraging platforms like Tableau and ServiceNow.
- Familiarity with multiple cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, Private Cloud).
- Experience working directly with customers and cross functional technical teams in a technical or advisory capacity.
