POSITION TITLE
Internship Development Program – Enterprise Data Management Office Intern
THE PROGRAM
Enact’s Internship Program provides an excellent opportunity for students to gain hands-on experience in achieving business results while developing technical and professional skills. Enact invests time, energy, and resources to create a worthwhile summer experience. Interns work on meaningful business projects, but beyond that, they network directly with leaders throughout the company (all the way up to the CEO), attend teambuilding events with their internship cohort, connect with the community through volunteer opportunities, and attend professional development workshops. It’s a unique experience that helps interns develop a network of peers and mentors who act as a constant source of engagement and guidance both during and after the summer.
YOUR ROLE
In addition to the multiple weekly events attended by all interns, you’ll work alongside industry experts for a 12-week internship beginning May 13, 2024. You will be part of the Enterprise Data Management Office team within the Enterprise Analytics group. You will be instrumental in enhancing and enriching our enterprise data catalog.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop a plan for the internship to meet your required deliverables
- Interview business and IT stakeholders to fill gaps in the business glossary
- Manage content in our Talend Data Catalog application
- Analyze data in Snowflake, Oracle, and Talend Data Catalog to identify and resolve discrepancies and data duplication
- Learn or improve basic Tableau skills for presenting data about your internship
YOUR QUALIFICATIONS
- Current sophomore or junior
- Proficient in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Desire to work in the insurance, banking, or financial services industries
- Minimum GPA of 3.2 on a 4.0 scale
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Ability to self-manage to a task list and deadlines
- Comfort with interviewing stakeholders to gather information
- Ability to write simple SQL statements to query and join data
