Job Description:

They are looking for a skilled and experienced Data Engineer with expertise in APIs to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data engineering, database management, and API integration. The primary focus of this role will be to design, develop, and maintain data pipelines, databases, and API connections to support our organization's data-driven initiatives.

Responsibilities:

1. Design and implement data pipelines to extract, transform, and load data from various sources into databases or data warehouses.
2. Develop and maintain API connections to enable data exchange between internal systems, third-party platforms, and external partners.
3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements, API integration needs, and business objectives.
4. Optimize data processes for performance, scalability, and reliability, ensuring data quality and integrity throughout the pipeline.
5. Implement data governance practices to ensure compliance with data security standards, privacy regulations, and best practices.
6. Troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues, API connectivity problems, and performance bottlenecks in data pipelines.
7. Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in data engineering and API development.
8. Document data processes, API specifications, and data flows for knowledge sharing and future reference.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Proven experience as a Data Engineer with expertise in designing and building data pipelines.
• Strong proficiency in database technologies (SQL, NoSQL) and data modeling concepts.
• Demonstrated experience in API development, integration, and management.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or Scala for data manipulation and API development.
• Familiarity with data visualization tools, ETL processes, and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure).
• Excellent problem-solving skills, analytical thinking, and attention to detail.

Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with team members and stakeholders.
