What you need to know about the role-

We research incidents and issues with machine learning to understand root causes, and underlying issues, and how they impact our risks, processes, impacts to the company and customer complaints.

Meet our team-

Our team is a group of analysts, data engineers and data science / ML engineers that build out insights into incidents, issues, risks for the company, and output data, insights and reports for the company at large. Our insights are used to fix some of the largest problems facing PayPal and how to quickly do it. You in this role will be critical to help us find those insights via machine learning/clustering/Gen-AI.

Job Description:

Your way to impact  

Your role will be critical in creating new models, and techniques for insights and maintaining other models already in existence. Your work will be used across PayPal on some of its most critical problems and how to solve them from a strategic and risk view. 

 

Your day to day  

In your day to day role you will  

• Monitor models/Python 

• Create and develop new machine learning / clusters dealing with incidents, issues and how it effects our customers, and linking this back to complaints, transactions, revenue, costs 

• Documentation of work/models 

• Data Pipeline creation/maintenance 

 

What do you need to bring:

• One year of experience using reporting tools Tableau and Excel to create data visualizations 

• One year of experience performing risk analysis

• Experience with databases, spreadsheets, and statistical tools   

• Experience programming with Python, and SQL 

• Experience with analysing large, complex, multi-dimensional datasets, including data cleaning, root cause analysis, and data visualization.

• Experience synthesizing insights into actionable solutions 

• Experience with statistical analysis, quantitative analytics, forecasting/predictive analytics, multivariate testing, and algorithms 

• Experience using Machine Learning and statistics concepts including hypothesis testing, statistical inference, and regression models
