The Government segment serves legal, compliance and investigative professionals in federal, state and local government, as well as researchers, faculty and students in law schools. 

Users of our products include: judges, court staff, government lawyers and other legal professionals in city, county, state and federal courts; federal, state and local law enforcement and investigative professionals; legal and compliance professionals in administrative government offices across all levels of government, among many others.  

About the Role:

• In this opportunity as a Government Intern at Thomson Reuters, you will have a unique opportunity to gain practical experience in the legal and risk field within the government setting.  Your role will involve supporting the go-to-market team in synthesizing data with customer data and hierarchies at various government agencies and using modeling to form an opinion about ways to expand our service offerings.
• You will get a behind the scenes look at our go-to-market engine and will have the opportunity to collaborate closely with our leadership team, sales representatives, and cross-functional partners as you help develop materials and presentations for our broader team.
• This internship will provide you with valuable insights into the intersection of law and government, while allowing you to enhance your analytical, writing, and business skills.

About You:

You’re a fit for the role of a Core Publishing Solutions Intern if you:

• Are a 3rd or 4th year student in the following degree programs: Business (analytics or finance focus)
• Have proven oral and written communication skills.
• Exhibit strong analytical and quantitative skills.
• Planning and project management skills
• Ability to take direction on projects and work both autonomously and with a team.
• Ability to adapt well to change in a fast-paced environment.
• Working knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint) and MS Teams
• Previous internship experience a plus
