Hadrian — Manufacturing the Future
Hadrian is building autonomous factories that help aerospace and defense companies make rockets, jets, and satellites 10x faster and 2x cheaper. Our CEO, Chris Power, discusses the importance of what we're building in this video.
We are a lean but mighty team (and growing!) people that are passionate about building critical infrastructure to support the nation and the advancement of humanity.
To support our ambitious vision, we have raised > $200M from Lux Capital, A16Z, Founders Fund, Construct Capital, Caffeinated Capital, and more.
Building Copilot
Copilot is our suite of software responsible for automating Design for Manufacturing (DFM), CAM programming, & CMM programming. Copilot engineers work with the best operators in the world to identify high impact areas to automate. We are responsible for scoping, designing and implementing solutions cradle to grave. We write software that leverages the bleeding edge of technology in an effort to wow operators who are already at the top of their game. Broadly speaking, we incorporate a combination of modern full-stack web engineering, networking, platform engineering, applications engineering, computational geometry, computer vision, and machine learning.
While this role is primarily focused on our computer vision and machine learning stack, we expect all Copilot Engineers to embrace all areas of the tech stack in order to build software that has the biggest positive impact on operator’s work.

In this role you will:

  • Scope, design, and build software to automate highly technical parts of the precision manufacturing pipeline: DFM Analysis, CAM programming, & CMM programming
  • Engage in product discovery alongside experts in manufacturing and software
  • Explore and understand manufacturing processes and technologies to help make strategic decisions
  • Craft computer vision algorithms and machine learning models and pipelines in Python and C++ to parse highly technical and information dense documents
  • Build OCR systems spanning many languages and character sets
  • Monitor software performance, usage, and product feedback
  • Create and maintain integrations with internal Hadrian systems and external engineering software

Admired Skills & Background:

  • Bachelor's Degree or higher in CS, Math, or Physics
  • Experience in computer vision, image classification, document parsing, OCR, or similar
  • Primary Tools: OpenCV, PyTorch
  • Secondary Tools: Typescript, React, gRPC, Go
  • Working understanding of GD&T
  • Excited to learn new fields and concepts and teach others about your expertise
  • Consider yourself a builder and have fun attacking and solving complicated problems
