Job Description

The Data Architect is an expert in designing and developing next generation data pipelines and analytical solutions. This role will be playing important role in the company’s end-to-end journey from On-Premises to Cloud. Collaborate with Data Scientists, Business Analysts, and Clinical teams; mentor more junior data engineers, contribute to best practices & technical documentation. The Senior Data Engineer will be instrumental in designing, developing, and deploying company data warehouse on AWS cloud platform.


Your role:

  • Knowledge of various database technologies, such as Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL, Progress, PostgreSQL, Amazon DynamoDB, Apache Hadoop, etc.

  • Building real-time transactional data pipelines to load and manipulate data onto the Data Lake, familiarity with message brokers like Kafka, RabbitMQ.

  • Designing and developing ETL and Master Data Management processes. Knowledge of workflow management platforms like Airflow.

  • Advance SQL Skills, scripting (Linux, Unix). Spark and Scala familiarity.

  • Understanding the access patterns for the data, and design partitioning and bucketing strategies accordingly.

  • Designing data structures (i.e. de-normalized, Change Data Capture, nested structures, etc.) that are optimized against process and data skew when dealing with large data sets, and that are highly supportive of concurrency. Optimizing data architecture for consumption, utilization, and analytics, including for data science, machine learning and statistical use cases.

  • Strong understanding of microservices architecture using containerization technologies like docker, packer or Kubernetes.

  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to mentor more junior team members.

You're the right fit if:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, a technical or business discipline preferred, Master’s degree, or equivalent experience, a plus

  • 11to 14 years of professional experience

  • 5+ plus years with database technologies, such as Oracle, Apache Hadoop, Microsoft SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Redshift.

  • 3+ plus years of job-related experience in programming languages such as Java, Scala, Python, or similar.

  • 3+ years of Data Warehousing or Healthcare Data Analytics experience, building production data pipelines.

  • 2+ years with private & public clouds deployment (AWS, Azure, GCP, Triton, or similar), deploying with Machine Learning pipelines and containerization.

  • 1+ year experience building microservices architecture using containerization technologies like docker, packer or Kubernetes.
