Associate Data Analyst, Internal Audit

Position Summary

The Associate Data Analyst  will be responsible for planning, organizing, and executing analytics related to internal audits throughout the Company (including IT, financial, operational, compliance, quality and fraud).   The role will assist in development of sustainable and repeatable data analytics processes to provide real time audit assurance to the business and improve audit efficiency.   This position will assist in the development of analytics and strategy for the Internal Audit department and will collaborate with Internal Audit management and business functions within the organization in order to improve control, create efficiency, and add value to the business. The position will require learning to implement the analytics processes on the department toolkits and generally staying abreast with changes in technology.     

Duties

  • Develops an understanding of business and data requirements, and design visualizations for initial concepts and prototypes that can be presented to Internal Audit and the business. 
  • Assists in data analysis (determine data structures, content, and quality of the data through examination of source systems)
  • Assists in the creation of data visualizations (reports and dashboards) using Tableau as required.
  • Develops Tableau-based ad-hoc user interfaces.
  • Enhances the efficiency of the Sarbanes-Oxley controls by development of reporting and analytics of planning, sampling, and testing.
  • Contributes innovative ideas in an effort to continuously improve the audit methodology and audit procedures including the strategic deployment of technology to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of audit procedures and increase value to the business.
  • Partners with the Internal Audit team members to develop and deliver an data analytics strategy in all phases of the audit process including risk assessment process, planning and scoping, fieldwork and reporting. 
  • Work with Internal Audit colleagues to understand the Internal Audit processes, business risk and continuously improve the department and achieve department goals.
  • Identify and resolve data quality/integrity issues
  • Troubleshoot Business Intelligence and Analytics tools, systems and software; performance-tune applications as necessary

Education Degree

Required Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Experience developing reports and dashboards using Tableau Prep and Tableau Desktop (0-2 Years Experience)
  • 0-2 years within in accounting, finance, information technology, operations, STEM fields, or other related roles.

Preferred Experience

  • Basic to intermediate skills with Tableau Prep and Tableau Desktop
  • Basic to intermediate skills with Excel
  • Bachelors degree in  data, science, information systems, accounting, finance, operations, STEM fields, or other related degree.
  • Tableau certification or pursuing Tableau certification.
  • Ability to inspire and instill a common vision and framework.
  • Must communicate well to all levels of management and staff.
  • Ability to understand a customer's business needs and translate needs into IT specific requirements.
  • Proficient in data analysis, defect identifications and resolutions.
  • Ability to analyze requirements and troubleshoot problems.
  • Must be a self-starter
  • Must be able to adapt to changing priorities.

 Pay range for this opportunity is $51,120.00 - $67,095.00. This position is eligible for [BONUS PARTICIPATION] OR a [INSERT COMMISSION RATE RANGE, IF APPLICABLE] commission.

 

Minimum pay rates offered will comply with county/city minimums, if higher than range listed.  Pay rates are based on a number of factors, including but not limited to local labor market costs, years of relevant experience, education, professional certifications, foreign language fluency, etc.

Full-Time Employees are also eligible for short-term disability.  Full-time Employees will also receive Paid Time Off (PTO) based on years of service and paid Holidays. Part-time employees working 20 or more hours receive a pro-ration of the full-time PTO allocation and paid Holidays based on their standard hourly work week. Full-Time employees are eligible for four weeks of paid parental leave. Part-time employees also receive paid parental leave, pro-rated based on their standard hourly work week.
