Your future plans 
We are building a centralised Controlling function with dedicated resources to focus on transforming RWE Supply & Trading GmbH (RWEST) Controlling to an innovative, data-driven function to enable informed decision making. Our goal is to support the growth of RWE Supply & Trading GmbH by making our Controlling future proof. You can contribute to that continuous transformation by helping us to create well-structured data fundaments, in order to build meaningful use cases and to further improve data-driven decision making. This role requires a great skill mix of data science, data analytics consulting and change management experience.

• Business Analysis: Collaborate with the various Controlling teams and other functions (e.g. Accounting, Risk and IT) to gather business requirements, define analytical objectives and drive respective initiatives
• Process analysis and solution finding: Analyse existing Controlling processes and identify improvement potentials with regards to data structuring, interfaces and level of automation and find adequate solutions
• Development: Develop and implement data use cases that drive business value, always ensuring data quality and consistency
• Reporting and Visualisation: Develop interactive dashboards, reports, and visualisations using BI tools such as Tableau, Power BI or similar platforms to communicate key financial metrics and trends effectively
• Change management: Act as a strong advocate and change agent for data-driven mindset and self-service analytics across the entire organisation
• Continuous Improvement: Stay abreast of emerging trends in data analytics, financial technology and industry best practices to continuously improve analytical methodologies and tools

Your powerful skills

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in data science, statistics, computer science or a related field
• Proven experience in data analysis and data visualisation, ideally within Controlling related areas
• Strong knowledge of data analytics and visualization tools (Tableau, PowerBI, SAP Analytics Cloud, Azure, Python)
• Proficiency in SQL and VBA
• Ability to translate business needs into data analysis projects
• Excellent communication skills and a data-driven mindset, with the ability to explain complex data concepts to non-technical users
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to turn data into actionable insights
• Attention to detail and a commitment to data accuracy and security
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
• Fluent English skills and the ability to communicate complex matters clearly

Advantageous, but not a must 

• Experience in the Energy (Trading) Business
• Familiarity with financial systems and ERP software (SAP S/4HANA currently in implementation)
• Experience in change management or consulting, with a proven track record of driving organisational change
• Experience with machine learning algorithms and techniques for predictive analytics
