Our unique integrated stack of optimized hardware, software, and increasingly AI, coupled with the patient-centric experience of our clinics across North America, have allowed us to lead the charge against “we caught it too late again.” We are changing healthcare and bringing a slow moving goliath of an industry into the present while blazing a trail into the future of radiology and clinical operations through software, automation and AI. Prenuvo operates preventative screening clinics in Vancouver, Silicon Valley, Dallas, Boca Raton, Minneapolis, Los Angeles, New York City, Bethesda, and Chicago, with more clinics in North America and internationally in the next 2 years.
The Opportunity
We are looking for a Team Lead, Machine Learning to join our Vancouver team! Our ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of foundational concepts in machine learning and software development, allowing them to take ownership of the full development and deployment pipeline.
What You’ll Do:
- Be responsible for design, development and maintenance of scalable production machine learning pipeline that includes data ingestion, data transformation, data validation, automatic model training, automatic model tuning, model evaluation, orchestration, model management and other components
- Work with a team of engineers and Data Scientists to build tools and pipelines to improve our machine learning deployments and systems
- Collaborate with Data Scientists to optimize research outcomes and models for production
- Lead other machine learning engineers and data scientists with technical decisions to deploy models to product and integrate them with new or existing services
- Contribute to the entire development and deployment pipeline from proof-of-concept to model serving & MLOps
- Take ownership and responsibility for team practices and processes and their continuous improvement
What You’ll Bring:
- 4+ years of experience applying Machine Learning in industry, ideally across a variety of problem areas and data pipelines
- Degree in computer science, machine learning, engineering, mathematics or equivalent highly technical field
- Proven leadership abilities in an engineering environment in driving operational excellence and best practices
- Hands-on experience building production models with machine learning frameworks (like Keras or PyTorch) and libraries (like scikit-learn)
- Experience in different CI/CD pipelines (like CircleCI, Jenkins or TravisCI)
- Experience configuring and using AWS or equivalent cloud environment
- Proficient with cloud ML technologies (such as AWS SageMaker)
- A proven ability to architect scalable, maintainable software and a high-level understanding of data science concepts
- Proficient with SQL databases and data access
- Excellent coding skills and software development experience
- Experienced in Machine Learning and Computer Vision, as demonstrated by previous roles and/or a publication track record
- Thorough experience in end-to-end machine learning project life cycle
- Proven leadership abilities in an engineering environment in driving operational excellence and best practices
- You are a team player and check the ego at the door - we share a common goal and will work hard together to achieve it
- You can demonstrate patience and are able to naturally guide, mentor, and collaborate with team members and cross-functional departments

- The base salary for this role ranges from $180,000 - $200,000 in local currency + 10% discretionary bonus, depending upon experience
