Actuary / Actuarial Data Scientist

ADH has a dual mission: Developing cloud-based software applications for Health insurance and supporting Allianz units world-wide in optimising their Health insurance business along the value chain.

Tasks

• You work with an experienced team of Health actuaries to develop and optimise innovative pricing models that go beyond existing solutions.
• You bring in your knowledge to analyse data, calculate cost trends and determine risk factors.
• You work with Allianz Health OE data in pricing model calibrations and backtest our pricing algorithms.
• You continuously identify and shape the tool scope by analysing country specific pricing requirements.
• You consult Allianz units worldwide in pricing of Health coverages and rolling out our pricing solutions.
• Ultimately, you have an impact on how Allianz is positioned in Health globally.

Requirements

• University degree in mathematics, statistics, physics, or data science.
• Previous experience as an actuary in Health, Life or P&C pricing.
• Strong knowledge in data analyses and practical background in (generalized) linear regression modelling.
• Ideally, understanding of core principles in tariff calculation and cost curve derivation.
• Practical programming experience, ideally with R or Python, or strong enthusiasm to build skillset.
• Analytical strength combined with pragmatic problem-solving approach and structured way of working.
• High degree of self-organisation and willingness to take ownership.
• Fluency in written and spoken English.
