The Part-Time Student Program is primarily designed to augment the Company’s regular full-time staff and is for students who work in parallel to their school schedule YEAR-ROUND.

 

Your Responsibilities

 

As a Part-Time Student for John Deere Waterloo Works - Drivetrain Division located in Waterloo, IA, you will...

 

  • Assist the Production Control team with updating and sending out multiple daily reports
  • Assist the Production Control team with scrap tags
  • Look for opportunities to improve Production Control processes
  • Assist the Production Control team with Inventory control (COGI)

 

This position is NOT available to students on immigration visas.

 

What Skills You Need

 

  • Ideally you will be pursuing a degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Accounting, or related discipline; others may apply
  • Must be registered as a full-time student at a local (Iowa) accredited college/university
  • Graduation date of May 2025 or later
  • Cumulative GPA of 2.8 or above
  • Available to work during the academic year 16-20 hours/weekly
  • Available to work during the summer semester 35-40 hours/weekly
  • Must be able to commute to the work location in Waterloo, Iowa, on a daily basis year-round (NOTE: Relocation assistance is not provided.)
  • Experience using Microsoft Applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word), or equivalent

  • Effective communicator who thrives in a team environment
  • Experience that demonstrates effective multi-tasking, prioritization skills, and the ability to make sound decisions
  • Experience using SAP-PP (Production Planning) transactions
  • Experience with Legacy material planning systems such as CWIS (Common Worldwide Inter-factory System) for service parts fulfillment and Material Requirements Planning
  • Understanding of Bill of Material (BOM)
