Azure & Databricks Architect

Job Overview
Lead technology work stream for Business Intelligence and Information Management projects delivered to our clients, specifically related to Databricks and Azure technology stacks.  Ensure product development is completed on schedule, within budget and with high quality .
Provides subject matter expertise and a high level of consulting support on the technical analysis, design and implementation for multiple projects.
 
Essential Functions
•    Collaborates with project leads, business analysts, end users to design and implement Project and solutions.
•    Reviews business requirements and translate them into technical design 
•    Designs and implement technical solutions in support of data management and data quality
•    Designs and implements custom architecture based on existing technologies ensuring high quality and performances
•    Designs and implements high quality pipelines according to business requirements following existing frameworks and guidelines 
•    Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as product management, engineering, and data science to deliver data solutions that meet business requirements.
•    Stay up to date with the latest big data technologies and cloud platforms.
•    Collaborates with team members to develop and maintain suitable solution standards
•    Provides technical and business knowledge support to the team.
•    Escalates time, cost or quality implications to project manager and development manager
•    Contributes to project effort estimations
•    Ensures effective communication of technical requirements
 
Qualifications
•    Bachelor's Degree Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology or related technical discipline
•    (optional) Certification on Databricks/Azure/AWS
•    Minimum 6 years in a similar role participating to Information Management related initiatives (system integration, data warehouse/data lake, data management) ideally in pharmaceutical/healthcare/life sciences industry
•    Hands-on experience in design and implementation of data integration streams for data warehouse projects 
•    Good knowledge of relational data modeling (ERD), SQL and data warehousing
•    Experience in multiple database platforms, including SQL Server, Oracle, Snowflake, etc.
•    (optional) Experience in ETL tools (e.g. Informatica, MS SSIS, ADF, Airflow etc.)
•    Experience in designing and deploying end-to-end data architectures in at least one Cloud ecosystems (AWS, Azure, GCP)
•    Design and develop data solutions in at least two areas (Data Engineering, Data Science AI/ML, SQL Analytics) using Databricks
•    Strong analytical skills to troubleshoot issues and identify resolutions.
•    Experience in leading a team of data engineers and data scientists to deliver high-quality data solutions
