About the Role:

Ferrero Luxembourg Headquarters is looking for a talented Data Scientist to join the Global Advanced Analytics team on a fixed-term contract and support the Business Intelligence & Analytics (BI&A) function in driving strategic decisions for the business.  

 

This team is responsible for solving varied business questions using sophisticated advanced analytics techniques with a focus on production and scale. 

Main Responsibilities:

As a Data Scientist, you will analyze many different types of data including sales, marketing and media, promotions, price, macroeconomics etc. and build statistical models to solve business questions from various stakeholders across categories and geographies.

 

You will also work closely with IT, business stakeholders and other roles within the BI&A function. Depending on project needs, you might also potentially work with external agencies, data and solution providers, as needed. 

 

In this role, you will develop, test and rollout statistical models to support business decision making. 

 

You will create procedures to clean and classify data from disparate sources like retail sell-out, eCommerce sales and digital shelf metrics, shopper behavior, consumer surveys, marketing and other third-party sources for use in modeling and reporting.  

 

To gain efficiencies for ongoing work, you will script automation procedures for analytical flows. You will also be working in PowerBI to visualize analytical results for business stakeholders. In some cases, you may develop and test UI solutions, to enable users to be independent running models themselves.  

 

Lastly, you will work in a team of data scientists and will have the opportunity to collaborate and generate ideas, build and share knowledge and develop new capabilities.

Who we are looking for:

You will bring knowledge from a degree in a quantitative area like Mathematics, Econometrics, Statistics, Engineering or equivalent. An advanced degree is preferred. You will also bring 3-5 years of experience in applied work on Advanced Analytics, preferably at a FMCG/CPG manufacturer company. 

 

You will be successful in this role thanks to your experience in modeling techniques and advanced statistical concepts like Regression, Classification, Text mining, Random Forest etc. 

 

Your strong analytical skills, creativity and strong desire to test and learn will prove highly valuable. As will your excellent knowledge and best practices understanding of programming languages like Python, R and SQL, as well as common platforms such as PowerBI, Azure, Spark, Scala, Google Analytics etc. 

 

You have strong English communication skills combined with the ability to manage business stakeholders and to interpret the analytic outputs from a business standpoint. 

 

Additionally, your experience using external third-party sources including Nielsen, Circana and consumer surveys and your solid understanding of revenue and trade management principles and measurement techniques will prove very useful.
