Point72’s Market Intelligence team is responsible for developing proprietary research products, providing data and research management services to help inform investment decisions at Point72. We leverage innovative alternative data sources, advanced data analytics and technologies, as well as deep fundamental research to create high-quality compliant and differentiated research. What you’ll do

• Design and implement visually appealing, responsive, and user-friendly interfaces, such as interactive chatbot-like applications, charts, graphs, and data visualizations to convey complex analytics
• Ensure optimal performance and responsiveness of front-end applications
• Investigate innovative UX design approaches, prototype new technology and evaluate technical feasibility, participate in the evaluation and selection of UI components and frameworks
• Work with infrastructure software as well as tackle data related problems and embrace Infrastructure as Code
• Design and implement shared data tooling by creating reusable and maintainable technical components
• Write high quality, well-tested code to deliver projects/products iteratively
• Collaborate with business stakeholders and cross-functional team effectively across organizational boundaries to deliver high quality products

What’s required

• 3+ years of experience working as an engineer
• Bachelors/masters in computer science, computer engineering, or related technology field
• Working knowledge of Python or at least one of the high-level programming languages (Java, Javascript, etc.)
• Experience with databases/data warehouse/data lake, such as SQL Server, Postgres, Hive etc.
• Cloud infrastructure experience in any of AWS, GCP, Azure, etc.
• Strong skills in Web services, Rest APIs
• Ability to communicate technical ideas articulately
• Commitment to the highest ethical standards
