The advantages of our innovative technology and our customer-focused culture unite us as one group. We are supported by investors such as Allianz X, Portage, White Star Capital, Yabeo and Tencent. Every day, over 800 employees from more than 40 nations in Germany, Switzerland, the UK, France and the Netherlands shape the digital insurance world of tomorrow. Become a part of this international team and join us on our path to success.

Your main tasks will include:

  • Growing revenue, engagement, and optimizing operations by building ML models
  • Owning the entire lifecycle of Data Science projects:
    • Value and feasibility assessments
    • Exploratory Data Analysis
    • Productionisation
    • Monitoring and maintenance
  • Collaborating with Data Analysts to support teams across the company using data science techniques
  • Collaborating with Data Engineers to guide the evolution of our Data Platform

Who you are

  • You are pragmatic and driven by impact. While you’re knowledgeable on modern ML techniques, you don’t use a NN where a Naive Bayes would do.
  • An analytical thinker with exceptional conceptual skills, and the ability to make your evaluations transparent, not only to your team but also to non-technical audiences.
  • A curious individual, eager to learn about the processes and teams that are impacted by your ML models.
  • A good communicator. You feel confident and comfortable when explaining complex concepts to your audience in English. German is a plus!

What you ideally have

  • You have a degree or a PhD in computer science, Mathematics, Economics, or other quantitative fields.
  • You have at least 3 years of experience in building machine learning models in production, including their deployment, evaluation, and monitoring to ensure they have a real impact.
  • You are proficient in the use of SQL, git, and common data science tooling Python DS toolkit (scikit-learn, pandas, etc.). Knowledge of dbt, Redshift, AWS SageMaker, and Apache Superset is a plus.
  • Experience in software development and best practices in a development team (e.g testing, CI/CD Code reviews) rounds up your profile.

Why CLARK?

  • You are part of a leading global insurtech and change the insurance industry
  • A multicultural environment with international colleagues from 43+ different backgrounds.
  • Hybrid working models and flexible working hours
  • 30 days holiday & 2 days impact days
