Your main tasks will include:
- Growing revenue, engagement, and optimizing operations by building ML models
- Owning the entire lifecycle of Data Science projects:
- Value and feasibility assessments
- Exploratory Data Analysis
- Productionisation
- Monitoring and maintenance
- Collaborating with Data Analysts to support teams across the company using data science techniques
- Collaborating with Data Engineers to guide the evolution of our Data Platform
Who you are
- You are pragmatic and driven by impact. While you’re knowledgeable on modern ML techniques, you don’t use a NN where a Naive Bayes would do.
- An analytical thinker with exceptional conceptual skills, and the ability to make your evaluations transparent, not only to your team but also to non-technical audiences.
- A curious individual, eager to learn about the processes and teams that are impacted by your ML models.
- A good communicator. You feel confident and comfortable when explaining complex concepts to your audience in English. German is a plus!
What you ideally have
- You have a degree or a PhD in computer science, Mathematics, Economics, or other quantitative fields.
- You have at least 3 years of experience in building machine learning models in production, including their deployment, evaluation, and monitoring to ensure they have a real impact.
- You are proficient in the use of SQL, git, and common data science tooling Python DS toolkit (scikit-learn, pandas, etc.). Knowledge of dbt, Redshift, AWS SageMaker, and Apache Superset is a plus.
- Experience in software development and best practices in a development team (e.g testing, CI/CD Code reviews) rounds up your profile.
