Company Description

We help organisations realise the value of their business strategy, allowing them to engage in a more meaningful way with their end customers. Our Data Team is made up of 80+ people, covering data engineering, data science, and data architecture specialisms. The team works with a range of public and private sector clients, building production grade cloud solutions focussed on streaming, graph, big data, and data science use cases.

We are seeking a talented and highly motivated Graph Engineer to join our dynamic team.

As a Graph Engineer, you will play a crucial role in leveraging knowledge graphs to drive data-driven decision-making with our clients.

Your primary responsibilities will include designing, modelling, and implementing complex data structures as graphs, ensuring efficient data storage and retrieval, developing scalable solutions using graph databases, and applying graph algorithms for advanced analytics.

You will collaborate closely with data engineers, data scientists, and software developers to transform data into actionable insights through graph technology.

  • Graph Algorithms: Apply graph algorithms (e.g., PageRank, community detection, shortest path) to extract valuable insights and patterns from the knowledge graph, driving data-driven decision-making
  • General Data Engineering Skills: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ingest, transform, and load data from various sources into the knowledge graph, ensuring data quality and reliability
  • Query Optimization: Optimise graph queries to enhance query performance and reduce response times for complex analytical tasks

Qualifications

We are looking for data engineers who have a variety of different skills which include some of the below.

  • Knowledge Graph Technologies (e.g., RDF, OWL)
  • Graph Database Management Systems (e.g., Neo4j, Dgraph, TigerGraph, TypeDB, Amazon Neptune)
