Join Aprio's Agile Management team and you will help clients maximize their opportunities. Aprio is a progressive, fast-growing firm looking for a Business Intelligence Data Analyst to join their dynamic team.
We are seeking a highly motivated Business Intelligence Data Analyst to join our Enterprise Data Services organization. The successful candidate will be responsible for collecting, analyzing and interpreting large datasets to provide actionable insights predominantly using the Power BI toolset. This is a hands-on position which balances technical competency, business understanding and first-rate communication skills.  

Position Responsibilities:

  • Collect and process data from various sources, ensuring accuracy and completeness. 
  • Identify trends, anomalies, and patterns within the data. 
  • Analyze business processes, needs and pains 
  • Decompose business needs into minimal viable requirements 
  • Develop and unit test end to end solutions to solve business problems with data and BI technologies  
  • Utilize tools such as SQL, Power BI, SQL Server Reporting Services, and excel to create reports, insights, dashboards, visualizations, and analysis 
  • Translate complex data into clear, actionable recommendations 
  • Identify opportunities to streamline data products with a continuous improvement mindset   
  • Collaborate with different departments within the firm to provide data-driven insights 
  • Support strategic planning through data analysis 
  • Act as support for end users of BI and analytics data products 
  • Engage with users to help them self-serve data 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field 
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role 
  • Strong proficiency in SQL and Power BI, with the ability to design and develop end-to-end solutions  
  • Familiarity with data modeling concepts  
  • Comfortable working with large datasets in a dynamic environment 
  • Ability to identify relevant KPIs and metrics  
  • Ability to translate data insights into actionable business recommendations 
  • Clearly convey complex findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders 
  • Problem-solving mindset to approach challenges with creativity and propose innovative solutions 
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills 
  • Ability to work independently and with a cross-functional team in a fast-paced environment 
  • Certifications in Power BI are advantageous 
  • Knowledge of Agile development methodologies is a plus
