Kody, a fast-growing Fintech specialising in bringing online payments and better financial services to brick and mortar businesses, is looking for a Data Analyst to join their team. In this role, you will be responsible for analysing and interpreting large datasets to provide actionable insights and support data-driven decision making.

You will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for improvement in business processes and performance. You will also be responsible for designing and developing reports, dashboards, and visualisations that effectively communicate key findings to stakeholders. We use Looker as our visualisation and data modelling platform.

Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate complex data insights to non-technical stakeholders are crucial for success in this role. Experience with data analysis tools and programming languages such as Looker, Power BI, Tableau, Python or R is highly preferred.

This role is fully remote but we can only offer an employment contract if your residence is in the UK.

Responsibilities

  • Analyse and interpret large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and insights
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and objectives
  • Manage and configure Looker as our BI tool
  • Design and develop data reports, dashboards, and visualisations
  • Conduct ad-hoc analyses and present findings to stakeholders
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and optimisation
  • Ensure data accuracy, completeness, and integrity
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in data analysis

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or equivalent experience in a quantitative field such as Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, or Computer Science
  • Proven experience in data analysis or a related role
  • Proficiency in SQL and data querying
  • Experience with data analysis and visualisation tools (e.g., Python, R, Tableau, Looker ideally)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Attention to detail and the ability to work with large datasets
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to effectively communicate complex data insights to non-technical stakeholders
